Y'all nominated so much, it's already time for another clarifications post!
The following nominations will be approved once they are disambiguated (fandom added in parentheses after the ship/character name):
- If I Never Met You - Mhairi McFarlane: Jamie Carter & Hattie, Laurie Watkinson & Bharat, Laurie Watkinson & Emily Clarke, Laurie Watkinson/Jamie Carter

- Legally Blonde - Hach/O'Keefe/Benjamin: Emmett Richmond | Emmett Forrest & Elle Woods, Emmett Richmond | Emmett Forrest/Elle Woods, Enid Wexler | Enid Hoopes & Elle Woods, Margot & Pilar & Serena & Elle Woods, Paulette Bonafonté & Elle Woods, Paulette Bonafonté & Emmett Richmond | Emmett Forrest, Paulette Bonafonté/Kyle O'Boyle, Serena & Elle Woods, Vivian Kensington & Elle Woods -- please be sure to label as the musical and not as the film series! Additionally, please be sure to only use the character names from the musical (as some characters have different surnames between the canons). Characters with piped names will not be accepted.
The following fandoms require more information; please respond in the comments:
- End of Summer (1997): I cannot find any canon titled End of Summer from 1997; I can find several from different years. Please clarify which canon you mean.
Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris (2022): From what I can see, the romance does not appear to be central to the plot; can someone confirm or deny this?- Secrets and Scrabble Series - Josh Lanyon: From the author's website, this is labelled as a mystery and not as a romance - does it fit the romance novel criteria listed below?
- A Room with a View (1985): does not fit the exchange criteria (it is a drama, not a comedy); however the book would be eligible
- Daddy-Long-Legs - Jean Webster: does not fit the exchange criteria (it is a bildungsroman, not a romance)
- Eight Cousins Series - Louisa May Alcott: does not fit the exchange criteria (the romance does not appear to be central to the plot whatsoever)
- Impromptu (1991): does not fit the exchange criteria (it is a drama, not a comedy)
Mr. Malcolm’s List (2023): does not fit the exchange criteria (it is a drama, not a comedy)-- adjusted and accepted
Additionally, Emma (2020) nominator - your fandom and tags are in the tagset; I mistakenly rejected it went going through, but fortunately I had a screenshot and was able to re-add them.
The criteria for the exchange is the following:
- Movies: Romantic comedies; lighthearted comedic films with a focus on a romantic relationship with a happily ever after or happy-for-now ending. Examples: You've Got Mail, Isn't It Romantic?, But I'm A Cheerleader!
- Novels: Romance novels. These can fall into several subcategories (paranormal, young adult, historical, contemporary, etc.) but generally follow the same beats and have a close focus on a romantic relationship; as with romantic comedies, these end with a happily ever after or a happy-for-now. Examples: Julia Quinn novels, Red White & Royal Blue, Bride by Ali Hazelwood
- Other media: accepted on a case by case basis, but must have a happily ever after or happy-for-now for a primary couple (in the case of visual novels and video games, all endings should fit this criteria)
