 It's time for our first nominations clarification post!

The following fandoms require more information; please respond in the comments:

• Lynes and Mathey Series - Amy Griswold & Melissa Scott: Julian Lynes/Ned Mathey (Lynes and Mathey Series) -- I can't find any confirmation that this is a romance novel series; it looks like a mystery series to me. Can the nominator please provide evidence?
• 镇魂 | Guardian - priest: Shen Wei/Zhao Yunlan (Guardian novel) -- I'm unable to find any information about this canon specifically; can the nominator confirm whether this fits the criteria

The following tags are being rejected:

• Pitch Perfect (Movies): (all nominations) -- this canon does not fit the criteria of a romantic comedy; the romance is a small subplot rather than a focus of the movie.

The criteria for the exchange is the following:

• Movies: Romantic comedies; lighthearted comedic films with a focus on a romantic relationship with a happily ever after or happy-for-now ending. Examples: You've Got Mail, Isn't It Romantic?, But I'm A Cheerleader!
• Novels: Romance novels. These can fall into several subcategories (paranormal, young adult, historical, contemporary, etc.) but generally follow the same beats and have a close focus on a romantic relationship; as with romantic comedies, these end with a happily ever after or a happy-for-now. Examples: Julia Quinn novels, Red White & Royal Blue, Bride by Ali Hazelwood
• Other media: accepted on a case by case basis, but must have a happily ever after or happy-for-now for a primary couple (in the case of visual novels and video games, all endings should fit this criteria)

(not the nominator, but since nobody else has spoken up...) Guardian - priest would be considered a supernatural romance novel in english/western genres, I think? The romantic plot interweaves with magical mysteries and a world-saving quest. In chinese genres, it's categorized under the danmei/bl section, which is a romance subgenre. (the nominated pairing is the main and canon romantic ship.)

I nominated Lynes and Mathey series but I'm fine with it being removed since the mystery and romance are pretty much equally important to the book, it doesn't seem like the best fit for this exchange.

A question - I nominated Mischief & Matchmaking - Emma R. Alban, which is a book series (https://www.goodreads.com/series/374751-mischief-matchmaking) but it's listed as uncategorized in the tagset?

Only fandom tag wranglers can change it from uncategorised to whatever type of fandom it actually is, and they usually only do that for tag set fandoms for Yuletide, so it will probably stay there until/unless someone writes fic for it!
